The directory name is the final designation in the URL (uniform resource locator). For example, in the URL http://www.grcc.cc.mi.us/math/index.html, "math" is the directory name. 

If you want to suggest a directory name, please keep it short (eight characters or less), do not use spaces or special characters and keep in mind that names are case-sensitive. A suggested name should reflect the department (if applicable) to which the area applies. To uphold consistency in the URLs on GRCC's site, we reserve the right to make the final decision on directory names.
